水原ハイテクセンターは、地下2階、地上5階建てで、延床面積は5万1,497平方メートルに及ぶ。同センターはヒョンデ初の施設として、スマートモビリティに基づいた自動メンテナンスシステムを導入し、サービスの効率化と顧客の待ち時間短縮を目指す。
自律走行搬送ロボットや無人搬送車、ケースロボット、無人車両リフトシステムが、部品物流や車両輸送を担当する。また、遠隔診断プラットフォームが顧客の来店前に車両データを分析し、整備士が修理の準備を事前に進められるようにしている。
さらに同センターには、データ分析室やNVH（騒音・振動・ハーシュネス）分析室が設置されているほか、同社の研究開発センターや本社とリアルタイムで連携するための合同品質分析センターも運営されている。
