Meccha Chameleon surges as Steam viral hit

Meccha Chameleon, a Prop Hunt-style game on Steam, has gained massive popularity through creative player strategies. The title from developer lemorion_1224 allows users to paint characters for camouflage in multiplayer matches.

The game has drawn attention for unusual hiding tactics involving a horse statue. Players attach avatars in specific poses that create humorous results, leading to widespread social media shares.

Meccha Chameleon reached a peak of over 244,000 concurrent players on Steam. It currently maintains more than 144,000 users during afternoon hours, with the title priced at $6.

Launched last week, the game has benefited from summer timing when many players are available. Content creators such as Northernlion have highlighted the strategy in videos.

Other artistic camouflage methods have also emerged among the community since release.
