Oromia saves over 100 billion Birr via voluntary service

Oromia social cluster coordinator Sadat Nesha announced that voluntary service saved more than 100 billion Birr in expenditures in 2018 E.C.

Oromia region officials reported that voluntary service projects saved more than 100 billion Birr in expenditures during 2018 in the Ethiopian Calendar.

Sadat Nesha, the social cluster coordinator, highlighted positive outcomes in education, health, blood donation and support for vulnerable groups. The coordinator noted that these results demonstrate what can be achieved through unity and collective effort.

Work for the 2019 Ethiopian Calendar year voluntary service began in Boset Woreda of East Shewa Zone. This effort aims to deliver complete services across the region.
