PAF inaugurated the Basing Support System under the Pag-asa Island Project on Thursday in a ceremony presided over by its commanding general, Lt. Gen. Arthur Cordura.
“The project marked the completion of key basing support infrastructure and facilities designed to enhance air operations in the area, strengthening the PAF’s capability to sustain operations and support strategic infrastructure in the West Philippine Sea,” Cordura said.
He underscored that conditions once limiting operational tempo have been addressed, enabling more reliable and continuous mission support.
The project was implemented in close coordination with the Armed Forces of the Philippines, MAMSAR Construction Corp., and the local government unit of Palawan.
