PlayStation podcaster Colin Moriarty reports PSN account hack

Sacred Symbols podcast host Colin Moriarty briefly lost access to his PlayStation Network account despite two-factor authentication. The incident occurred after he received a warning message about an impending attack.

Moriarty, an ex-IGN editor and Kinda Funny Games cofounder, posted on X on May 18 that his account had been hacked as part of a series of attacks on both random and prominent users. He noted that the account was used to send a threatening message to fellow podcaster Dustin Furman reading “You’re next.” Sony initially estimated up to three weeks for recovery but restored access faster after Moriarty contacted internal connections at the company.
