Raids target companies linked to Sur Finanzas owner over fund diversion suspicions

Authorities raided companies linked to Ariel Vallejo, owner of Sur Finanzas, investigating a network of fictitious firms and fund diversion. The searches uncovered empty safe deposit boxes, luxury cars, and no employees present. At one branch, cash-in-transit trucks were seized.

On December 2, 2025, authorities conducted raids on companies linked to Ariel Vallejo, the financier behind Sur Finanzas. The Dirección General Impositiva (DGI) believes Vallejo established a parallel network of fictitious companies to divert funds, as part of a probe into potential money laundering.

During the searches, officials found empty safe deposit boxes, luxury vehicles, and no employees on site. One raid targeted a branch at Adrogué 1100, where cash-in-transit trucks were seized.

The operation was ordered by Judge Luis Armella and Prosecutor Cecilia Incardona, involving the Argentine Federal Police (PFA). These actions are part of a broader investigation into financial irregularities at the firm, though no immediate arrests or further details on the diverted funds have been disclosed.
