Breeze Airways is increasing flight options to Myrtle Beach International Airport starting in July 2026, responding to growing population and tourism demand in the South Carolina coastal area. The expansion includes new nonstop routes and higher frequencies on existing ones. Tickets for the daily flights are now available for purchase.
Myrtle Beach, a coastal destination in South Carolina, has seen rapid population growth, boosting the need for more travel connections. Breeze Airways, a low-cost carrier founded in 2021 by David Neeleman, announced plans to expand its operations at Myrtle Beach International Airport (MYR) for summer 2026. This move is part of a broader initiative that adds 17 new nonstop routes and enhances services to Myrtle Beach and Fort Lauderdale.
The updates begin in July 2026, with increased frequencies on several routes starting July 1. For instance, flights from Akron-Canton, Ohio (CAK), will shift to daily service, up from five times weekly. The route to Fort Lauderdale, Florida (FLL), will operate six times weekly, and service to New York/Islip, New York (ISP), will run four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
New additions include nonstop flights to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania (PIT), starting July 3 on Mondays and Fridays, with fares starting at $39. A BreezeThru one-stop service to Portland, Maine (PWM), without plane changes, launches July 2. Other seasonal routes feature nonstop service to Manchester, New Hampshire (MHT), twice weekly from February 6 through May, and to Long Island/Islip, New York (ISP), beginning May 6.
Breeze Airways operates with a 'Nice Low Cost Carrier' model, using Airbus A220-300 and Embraer jets, and offers no fees for changes or cancellations. 'For nearly five years, Breeze has been filling a long-overlooked gap in the industry by connecting underserved markets with affordable, nonstop service,' said David Neeleman, the airline's founder and CEO. 'The addition of these new cities and routes will allow even more travelers to save hours that would otherwise be spent flying through hubs or driving.' The airline aims to provide fuel-efficient and cost-effective options for residents and visitors.
