CFMoto Nepal has introduced the CFLite 250DUAL, a new dual-sport motorcycle priced at Rs. 5,49,900. The bike, assembled locally, features a 249cc liquid-cooled engine and is designed for both urban and light off-road use. It becomes available through authorized showrooms across the country.
CFMoto Nepal announced the launch of the CFLite 250DUAL on March 12, 2026, marking an entry into the dual-sport segment with a focus on affordability and capability. The motorcycle, part of CFMoto's CFLite sub-brand aimed at entry-level riders in emerging markets, is assembled in Nepal to reduce import taxes and offer competitive pricing. At Rs. 5,49,900, it undercuts expectations of under Rs. 6.50 lakhs and positions itself against models like the Honda XR190L and Yamaha WR155R.
The 250 Dual measures 2120 mm in length, 910 mm in width, 1225 mm in height, with a 1415 mm wheelbase. It is powered by a 249cc single-cylinder, 4-stroke, DOHC, EFI engine meeting EU5+ emission standards, producing 24.4 PS at 8000 rpm and 22.5 Nm at 7000 rpm. The liquid-cooled unit pairs with a 6-speed gearbox and slipper clutch, supported by a 13-liter fuel tank. Suspension includes upside-down forks and an adjustable monoshock, each with 160 mm travel, while braking is handled by dual-channel ABS on 265 mm front and 220 mm rear discs.
Weighing 154 kg with 245 mm ground clearance and an 840 mm seat height, the bike suits mixed terrain with 21-inch front and 18-inch rear spoke wheels fitted with knobby tubed tires. Features comprise LED headlamps with DRLs, a compact LCD instrument cluster displaying speedometer, tachometer, odometer, gear position, fuel, and ABS indicators, plus a rear carrier rack and USB Type-A port. Available in Grey, Green, and White, it follows positive launches in Mexico and the Philippines.
In Nepal's market, constrained by import duties, the 250 Dual targets younger riders seeking performance without high costs. It competes with the Honda XR190L, noted for reliability but priced higher at around Rs. 8 lakhs, and the anticipated Hero XPulse 210, expected at Rs. 5.50 to 6 lakhs with features like switchable ABS and TFT display. CFMoto gains an early advantage in this niche.
