Ethiopia and Norway sign memorandum on electric vehicle use

Ethiopian Electric Service signed a memorandum of understanding with a Norwegian technology agency to cooperate on electric vehicle usage.

The signing ceremony in Addis Ababa was attended by Ethiopian Electric Service chief executive Getu Geremew and Norwegian ambassador to Ethiopia Stein Christensen. The agreement aims to widely promote electric vehicles and advance modern energy use. It will facilitate technology transfer from Norway, which has long experience in the field, and support capacity building for manufacturers and service providers. It will also assist the strategic effort to deploy national electric vehicle charging infrastructure and implement modern technology usage.
