Minnesota man charged with manslaughter in girlfriend's death

A 33-year-old Minnesota man has been charged with second-degree manslaughter after his girlfriend died following a vehicle crash on May 2. Allen Michael Alberts is accused of delaying medical help for 40-year-old Nichole Shoultz while violating a no-contact order.

Alberts and Shoultz were driving home from a bar in the early hours of May 2 when an argument turned physical. Alberts pulled over, and Shoultz took the wheel before crashing the pickup truck about half a mile from their shared home in Otter Tail County. She was thrown from the vehicle into a field and later found unresponsive.
