The Atlanta Braves activated outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. from the 10-day injured list on Monday. They also placed infielder Kyle Farmer on the injured list with a strained right forearm ahead of a series against the Miami Marlins.
The move came as the Braves prepared for a four-game set at loanDepot park in Miami. Acuña had been out since May 3, when he strained his left hamstring while running to first base against the Colorado Rockies. He took early batting practice on Monday and showed progress, making him available to pinch-hit during the series. The team had originally planned his return for Tuesday but accelerated the timeline after a positive workout.
