Egyptian foreign minister promotes investment and diplomacy during London visit

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty visited London on Wednesday to attract British investment and advocate diplomatic solutions to regional crises.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty met British officials and business leaders in London on Wednesday. He highlighted Egypt's macroeconomic reforms, Industry 2030 Strategy and State Ownership Policy during talks with advisers to the British prime minister.

Abdelatty urged UK investors to explore opportunities in the Suez Canal Economic Zone and the Golden Licence programme for strategic projects. British representatives showed interest in expanding cooperation and noted recent improvements in Egypt's investment climate.

In meetings at the House of Commons and Chatham House, Abdelatty stressed that military escalation threatens global supply chains. He called for support of US-Iranian talks and reaffirmed Egypt's backing for political solutions in Sudan, Libya, Yemen, Syria and Lebanon.
