A forest fire in Avesta municipality was fought on Tuesday evening and brought under control by 21:30.
The alarm came in at 16:20. The fire started on a clear-cut area just outside Bergshyttan and initially covered about 250 by 250 meters.

By 21:30 the fire had been reduced to an area the size of four football fields. Magnus Åkervik from SOS Alarm confirmed the helicopter had left and seven units continued the work. No person or building was harmed.
