Lewis Hamilton secured pole position for the Formula 1 British Grand Prix sprint at Silverstone, beating Kimi Antonelli by 0.011 seconds.
Seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton delivered a lap of 1m28.376s on soft tyres to claim his first sprint pole since the previous year's Chinese Grand Prix.
Antonelli had set the provisional fastest time before Hamilton improved on the final run. Max Verstappen finished third, 0.321 seconds behind Hamilton, with Charles Leclerc in fourth.
George Russell took fifth for Mercedes while McLaren's Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri placed sixth and seventh. Racing Bulls drivers Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad completed the top 10.
The session saw Mercedes and Ferrari ahead of McLaren, with several teams eliminated in the earlier segments including both Haas cars and the Cadillac and Aston Martin entries.
