On March 24, Kast's government announced via the Foreign Ministry the withdrawal of official support for Bachelet's candidacy. The stated reason was the fragmentation of Latin American candidacies and differences with key players in the process, rendering success unlikely. Consequently, Chile's Foreign Ministry and embassies will stop promoting it, though Chile will abstain from supporting rivals if Bachelet continues.
Brazil, led by Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, and Mexico, under Claudia Sheinbaum, still back the effort, with their logos featured prominently on the new site. It retains content like Bachelet's biography, key proposals for the UN, and video footage of Boric's announcement at the UN General Assembly on September 23, 2025, in New York.
The update signals the campaign's persistence despite La Moneda's decision, originally presented by Boric alongside Brazil and Mexico.
