Moschino has named Loris Messina and Simone Rizzo as its new co-creative directors. The announcement comes days after the departure of Adrian Appiolaza.
The Milan-based brand confirmed the appointments on June 21. Messina and Rizzo founded Sunnei in 2014 and sold a majority stake to the Vanguards Group in 2020 for €6 million.
Massimo Ferretti, executive chairman of parent company Aeffe S.p.A., said the pair bring a contemporary creative vision and deep cultural sensibility. The designers stated they aim to project the legacy of founder Franco Moschino into the present.
Their first collection for the house is scheduled for September 2026 during Milan Fashion Week. The move follows Aeffe Group’s recent appointment of a new general manager amid reported financial challenges.
