The alarm came in shortly after 12 p.m. on Tuesday. A person at the scene tried to extinguish the fire with a powder extinguisher before vehicles from Avesta and Horndal arrived.
It burned in the ground and in moss. Linda Hysén, team leader at SOS Alarm, said there were no open flames or risk of spread.
The fire is now under control but is still smoldering slightly in the ground.
