Taron Egerton requested chemical brothers song for apex soundtrack

Taron Egerton personally wrote to The Chemical Brothers to secure the use of their 2015 track 'Go' in the new film Apex. The song has since surged in popularity, reaching number seven on the UK charts.

Taron Egerton contacted The Chemical Brothers and Q-Tip to request permission for the track 'Go' after pitching the idea to director Baltasar Kormákur. In his letter he explained that he had loved the duo's music since his early teens and recalled being impressed by a live set featuring floating giant robots. He added that he wanted to create a scene that felt weird and unnerving but needed their help to achieve it with the song.
