Taron Egerton a écrit personnellement aux Chemical Brothers pour obtenir l'autorisation d'utiliser leur morceau « Go », sorti en 2015, dans le nouveau film Apex. La chanson a depuis gagné en popularité, atteignant la septième place des classements britanniques.

Taron Egerton a contacté The Chemical Brothers et Q-Tip pour demander la permission d'utiliser le titre « Go » après avoir soumis l'idée au réalisateur Baltasar Kormákur. Dans sa lettre, il explique qu'il adore la musique du duo depuis son adolescence et se souvient avoir été impressionné par un concert mettant en scène des robots géants flottants. Il ajoute qu'il souhaitait créer une scène à l'ambiance étrange et déconcertante, pour laquelle il avait besoin de leur aide et de cette chanson.
