عثرت فرق الإنقاذ على جثتي متسلقين سنغافوريين كانا في عداد المفقودين عقب ثوران بركان جبل دوكونو يوم الأحد.

تم العثور على الضحيتين في الساعة 13:00 بتوقيت شرق إندونيسيا عند الإحداثيات 1°42'9.90" شمالاً / 127°52'48.50" شرقاً. وكانتا في وضعية تعانق ومحاصرتين تحت صخرة كبيرة بسبب ثوران البركان.

الضحيتان هما هينغ وشا، وكلاهما يحملان الجنسية السنغافورية. وكان قد تم العثور في وقت سابق على ضحية إندونيسية تُدعى أنجل متوفاة.

قامت فرق الإنقاذ بنقل الجثث إلى المركز الرئيسي في قرية مامويا في الساعة 17:43 بتوقيت شرق إندونيسيا، ومن ثم إلى مستشفى توبيلو العام لإجراء تشريح للجثث. وقد أُغلقت عملية البحث والإنقاذ بعد انتشال جميع الضحايا.

تم إنقاذ خمسة عشر متسلقاً آخرين. وكانت أول إشارة استغاثة قد وردت في 8 مايو 2026.
