ارتفع سعر أسطوانات غاز البترول المسال التجاري في دلهي بمقدار 42 روبية اعتباراً من 1 يونيو. وتم إجراء تعديلات مماثلة في كولكاتا كجزء من الجهود الرامية إلى بناء احتياطيات أقوى وفرض تدابير أكثر صرامة لمكافحة الاحتكار. ولم يتم الإعلان عن أي تغييرات فيما يخص أسطوانات غاز البترول المسال المنزلي التي تستخدمها الأسر. وتسري هذه التعديلات على الأسطوانات التجارية سعة 19 كجم وأسطوانات غاز البترول المسال ذات التداول الحر سعة 5 كجم. وقد ربطت الحكومة مراجعة الأسعار بمبادراتها المستمرة للأمن الوقودي.
