عقد وزير الصناعة المصري خالد هاشم محادثات مع وزير التجارة والصناعة والمنافسة في جنوب أفريقيا باركس تاو لتعزيز التعاون الاقتصادي.

ركزت المناقشات على التعاون في قطاعات الأدوية والمستلزمات الطبية وصناعة السيارات والبنية التحتية اللوجستية.

أكد هاشم على الروابط القوية بين البلدين وأشار إلى سعي مصر لجذب مصنعي مكونات السيارات ضمن برنامج يستهدف إنتاج 100 ألف سيارة سنويا بحلول 2030.

اقترح الوزيران تشكيل مجلس أعمال مصري جنوب أفريقي ولجنة مشتركة لمتابعة المبادرات، مع التأكيد على أهمية مذكرة تفاهم في قطاع السيارات وتنفيذ اتفاقية التجارة الحرة القارية الأفريقية.
