أقر مجلس نواب الشعب مشروع قانون لتعديل قانون الجمارك خلال جلسته الاعتيادية الرابعة والعشرين.
تم خلال الاجتماع الذي عقد في أديس أبابا استعراض مشروع القانون الذي يهدف إلى تعزيز الجهود المبذولة لمنع التهريب. وأوضحت اللجنة أن القانون يتماشى مع الاتفاقيات الدولية التي وقعتها إثيوبيا، وسيسهم في ضمان النزاهة في العمليات الجمركية. كما يدعم مشروع القانون نمو قطاع التصنيع ويشجع على الاستثمار. وبعد نقاش مستفيض، وافق المجلس على القانون بأغلبية الأصوات تحت مسمى القانون رقم 1425/2018.
