No Doubt kicks off Sphere residency with nostalgic set

No Doubt opened its residency at the Sphere in Las Vegas on Wednesday with a performance filled with hits and deep cuts from its past. The band emphasized nostalgia throughout the show, delivering songs that fans had not heard live in years.

The group, featuring Gwen Stefani, Tony Kanal, Tom Dumont and Adrian Young, began with the title track from its 1995 album Tragic Kingdom. It was the first time the band had played the song since 2009. Spiderwebs appeared early in the set, a departure from its usual closing spot. Other selections included Underneath It All, Don’t Speak, The Climb and Trapped in a Box, along with the closing numbers Just a Girl and Sunday Morning.
