Sisi swears in new heads of judicial authorities

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi swore in four new heads of the country's top judicial and legal authorities on Tuesday.

Counsellor Rabie Ahmed Mohamed Lebna took the oath as President of the Court of Cassation. Counsellor Mahmoud Ibrahim Mohamed Abou El-Dahab was sworn in as President of the State Council. Counsellor Abdel Nasser Abou El-Azm Issa became President of the State Lawsuits Authority. Counsellor Hoda Ahmed Mohamed Issa took her oath as President of the Administrative Prosecution Authority.

During the ceremony Al-Sisi expressed his wishes for their success and affirmed his trust in their ability to enhance the rule of law. He stressed the commitment of all state institutions to supporting judicial independence and upholding the values of truth and justice.

Al-Sisi also awarded the Order of the Republic First Class to three outgoing judicial heads in recognition of their service.
