They jumped the perimeter fence during an internal school activity and threatened the school community with knives and a firearm, according to Colonel Ximena Valle, prefect of Cautín from Carabineros.

"They threatened the teachers and the school community with knives and a firearm," stated Colonel Valle. The school activated safety protocols and alerted the police, who responded promptly.

Carabineros personnel intercepted the suspects as they attempted to flee. "Carabineros managed to detain these three teenagers at the moment they were fleeing," the prefect said, confirming the weapons were seized from their clothing.

The three minors were placed at the disposal of the justice system and await the Public Ministry's resolution. The incident highlights concerns over security in educational establishments in the area.
