أطلقت منصة تيك توك مركزاً انتخابياً داخل التطبيق باللغة الأمهرية، وذلك استعداداً للانتخابات العامة في إثيوبيا المقررة في الأول من يونيو 2026.

طورت المنصة هذا المركز بالتعاون مع المجلس الوطني للانتخابات في إثيوبيا، حيث يوفر معلومات حول إجراءات التصويت، والتواريخ الرئيسية، وكيفية تحديد المعلومات المضللة. كما تحظى فرقة عمل الانتخابات في تيك توك بدعم من أدوات الإشراف ومشرفين يتحدثون اللغات المحلية، حيث تحظر الشركة المحتوى المضلل والإعلانات السياسية الممولة. وفي الربع الرابع من عام 2025، أزالت تيك توك أكثر من 1.8 مليون مقطع فيديو في إثيوبيا لمخالفتها إرشاداتها، كما عقدت شراكة مع منظمة "كود فور أفريكا" وقدمت تدريباً للصحفيين بالتعاون مع نقابة المحررين الإثيوبيين.
