ETA chief praises Distinguished Tax Service Centres as key part of second facilitations package

Rasha Abdel Aal, head of the Egyptian Tax Authority, highlighted the Distinguished Tax Service Centres—part of the second tax facilitations package launched in December 2025—as a strategic initiative to enhance Egypt's investment climate and modernize government services.

Rasha Abdel Aal, head of the Egyptian Tax Authority (ETA), emphasized the Distinguished Tax Service Centres as a pivotal element of the second tax facilitations package, launched on December 23, 2025, following directives from Finance Minister Ahmed Kouchouk. This builds on earlier measures like the Excellence Card, accelerated VAT refunds, and other reforms outlined at recent stakeholder conferences, positioning Egypt as a leader in advanced government services and sustainable economic growth.

These centres introduce a one-stop-shop model using cutting-edge technologies for streamlined tax procedures, reducing service times, increasing taxpayer satisfaction, and alleviating pressure on traditional offices.

Beyond modern aesthetics, the centres offer a seamless experience with smooth navigation, efficient processes, and no crowds or long waits, portraying the ETA as a true economic partner.

Services under one roof include tax registration, guidance on facilitations, investor support, e-invoicing and e-receipts, and technical assistance for digital platforms.

Artificial intelligence plays a core role, guiding visitors, answering queries intelligently, and empowering staff with smart tools for faster, accurate service.

The taxpayer journey features online appointments, document preparation, automated ID verification, instant orientation, digital document issuance, and feedback mechanisms for continuous improvement.
