The driver, allegedly a woman, did not stop and dragged the motorcyclist for over a kilometer to the Constitución de 1917 neighborhood, where the body detached after passing a speed bump. Hernández, a 52-year-old Lala dairy products deliveryman heading to pick up his wife, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics due to severe friction injuries from the pavement.
A new video shared by journalist Carlos Jiménez captured the exact moment of impact, showing how the motorcycle and victim became trapped under the vehicle. C5 cameras recorded the path, and other drivers tried to alert the motorist without success. The Mexico City Attorney General's Office (FGJCDMX) opened an investigation file for aggravated culpable homicide with failure to provide aid. Unofficially, the responsible party is Gabriela 'N', 43 years old and employed in the health sector, though no arrests have been made.
On January 5, authorities located the abandoned vehicle in the Ampliación Ciudad Lago neighborhood, Nezahualcóyotl, with damage to the front and undercarriage; it was seized for forensic analysis in mechanics, biological traces, and structural damage. That same day, around 15:00 hours, about 12 motorcyclists protested at Calzada de Tlalpan and Coruña under the 'Justicia Biker' banner, demanding the culprit's capture. The demonstration, escorted by Mexico City Security Secretariat officers, continued as a ride along avenues like Francisco Morazán and Boulevard Puerto Aéreo.
