Isack Hadjar secured his first podium for Red Bull in third place at the Monaco Grand Prix despite multiple car issues. Team principal Laurent Mekies said the driver's radio frustration was understandable given the problems faced.
Hadjar encountered engine power loss and driveability issues throughout the 78-lap race. On lap 20 he told the team to look faster while under pressure from George Russell and warned that something might explode. After crossing the line he said the experience was draining. Mekies noted that the team battled reduced engine power from early in the race, which affected energy management. The issues worsened after Hadjar went through a run-off at the chicane. Stewards later cleared Red Bull following a red flag investigation, confirming the result. The Frenchman had crashed in FP1 at the swimming pool section but recovered to deliver a strong qualifying performance. Mekies said the team rebuilt the car in time for FP2 and praised Hadjar for regaining confidence.
