PT Kereta Api Indonesia (KAI) mediated between station staff and passenger Anita Dewi over a lost Tuku tumbler on KRL, resulting in agreement without staff dismissal. Anita and her husband, Alvin Harris, apologized for the viral post that sparked controversy. Anita was fired from her job due to the incident.
The incident began when Anita Dewi left a cooler bag containing a Tuku tumbler on the women's carriage rack of a KRL train from Tanah Abang to Rangkasbitung. Security officer Argi Budiansyah found the bag at Rangkasbitung Station and secured it. The next day, Anita retrieved it but the tumbler was missing, prompting a social media complaint that went viral in late November 2025.
Argi offered to replace the tumbler, but it was rejected by Anita and her husband. The post accused staff of negligence, sparking rumors of Argi's dismissal. On November 27, 2025, KAI held a family-like mediation at the KAI Wisata office, Gondangdia Station, Jakarta, involving CEO Bobby Rasyidin.
Bobby Rasyidin stated, “Argi remains an employee of the KAI Group and part of the frontline service. Keep up the spirit in duty and provide the best service.” Vice President Corporate Communications Anne Purba dismissed dismissal rumors: “KAI ensures all service processes run according to regulations. We also confirm no dismissal of the related officer.” KAI will evaluate lost and found procedures to improve coordination.
Anita and Alvin Harris apologized via an Instagram video on @alvinhrrs on November 27, 2025. Alvin said, “We want to extend our deepest apologies, especially to brother Argi and all parties harmed by our words and actions.” Anita added, “We are very aware that our response to this incident was very unwise, hurting many people's feelings.” However, Anita was fired from PT Daidan Utama that day for actions not reflecting company professionalism.
The impact spread: Fellow officers at Rangkasbitung Station received first warnings (SP1) and were asked to prepare incident reports. Universitas Sahid clarified Anita is not an alumna, having enrolled for only a few semesters. KAI urged passengers to watch their belongings.
