Økonomer advarer om for stort underskud i Tyskland

Økonomer i det videnskabelige rådgivende udvalg for Stabilitetsrådet forudser et underskud på 4,25 procent i 2026. De opfordrer den tyske forbundsregering til at spare mere for at undgå at bryde EU's gældsregler.

Eksperterne har beregnet, at de offentlige udgifter vil stige med 5,75 procent i 2026. Det overstiger loftet på 4,5 procent, som er aftalt med EU. Kun omkring halvdelen af overskridelsen skyldes højere forsvarsudgifter.

Udvalget anbefaler kraftigt at begrænse stigningen i gældskvoten så meget som muligt. Ellers risikerer Tyskland snart at overtræde EU's gældsregler. En opsparet kredit fra 2025 kan dog give en kortvarig lettelse.

Stabilitetsrådet overvåger budgetterne for den føderale regering og delstaterne. Det inkluderer finansminister Lars Klingbeil samt delstaternes finansministre.
