EU godkender Arlas fusion med DMK Group

EU-Kommissionen har godkendt Arlas fusion med den tyske mejerigigant DMK Group. Fusionen forventes at træde i kraft på mandag.

Godkendelsen kom fra EU-Kommissionen torsdag. Det nye andelsselskab vil hedde Arla og samle 11.200 mælkeproducenter fra syv lande.

Virksomheden vil have 28.800 medarbejdere på verdensplan og en omsætning på lidt over 20 milliarder euro, svarende til 216 milliarder kroner.

”Ved at forene kræfterne styrker vi vores økonomiske modstandskraft og vores evne til at investere i en fødevaresektor med mindre påvirkning af klima og natur”, siger Arlas bestyrelsesformand Jan Toft Nørgaard i en pressemeddelelse.
