Få partier adresserer landsbyskolernes skæbne i valgkampen

De politiske partier i Mora undgår at diskutere lukninger af landsbyskoler forud for efterårets kommunalvalg. Spørgsmålet er relevant på grund af det faldende børnetal i Dalarna.

Næsten alle kommuner i Dalarna kæmper med lave fødselstal. Regionen ligger på 1,5 barn pr. kvinde sammenlignet med de 2,1, der kræves for at holde befolkningstallet konstant. Pär-Johan Jönsson (C), formand for børnehave- og grundskoleudvalget i Mora kommune, siger, at lukning af landsbyskoler ikke er noget, man drømmer om at gøre. Sidste vinter stemte Socialdemokraterne nej til et lukningsforslag for skolerne i Vika og Nusnäs. Anna Bength (S), oppositionsrådsmedlem, erklærer, at skolernes fremtid handler mere om uddannelseskvalitet end om den enkelte skole. Hun ønsker ikke at love at redde landsbyskolerne. Marina Back, en forælder i Vika, siger, at skolen betyder tryghed for hendes børn, og at en lukningsbeslutning ville påvirke, hvor familien vælger at bo.
