Henning Höne har trukket sit kandidatur til formandsposten i FDP. Wolfgang Kubicki er nu den eneste kandidat til posten, som skal besættes i slutningen af maj.

Formanden for FDP i Nordrhein-Westfalen, Henning Höne, stiller alligevel ikke op mod Wolfgang Kubicki. I stedet planlægger han at stille op som Kubickis første stedfortræder. En talsmand for FDP i Nordrhein-Westfalen bekræftede oplysningerne fredag.

Kubicki udtalte til Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung: "Dengang hed holdet Lindner-Kubicki, nu hedder det Kubicki-Höne." Den 39-årige Höne leder i øjeblikket også FDP's gruppe i delstatsparlamentet i Düsseldorf.

Aftalen forhindrer en åben magtkamp på partikongressen i slutningen af maj.
