Mayor Marifrán Carazo voiced her deep sorrow in an official statement, mourning the loss and offering the city's "most heartfelt condolences to his entire family and loved ones." On her X social media account, alongside a photo with Ferreira, Carazo portrayed him as "a special man, good colleague, father, and friend" who invested "effort and will" in his public life serving Granada.
