Sequoia-partner Lixandru ser potentiale for Europa

Luciana Lixandru, partner hos Sequoia, udtrykte optimisme omkring europæiske startups i et interview publiceret den 20. juni.

Investoren har støttet virksomheder som Deliveroo, UiPath, robotfirmaet Robco og den Berlin-baserede forsvars-startup Stark. Hun bemærkede, at det europæiske marked er modnet, og at stiftere er blevet mere ambitiøse.

Lixandru sagde: "Vi må være tålmodige, fortsætte med at presse på, bevare en god attitude og ikke hele tiden sammenligne os selv med USA." Europa har allerede opbygget virksomheder til en værdi af mere end ti milliarder dollars.

Hun ser et særligt potentiale inden for forsvarssektoren. Vedrørende Stark sagde hun, at virksomheden med tiden kunne blive en konsolidator. Grundet sin tyske mand er Lixandru i øjeblikket ved at lære tysk.
