Uppsala kommune knytter Peab og JM til udviklingen af Uppsala Södra

Uppsala kommune har valgt Peab og JM som hovedaktører i udviklingen af Uppsala Södra. De to virksomheder kommer til at spille en central rolle omkring den planlagte jernbanestation.

Uppsala kommune tager det næste skridt i udviklingen af Uppsala Södra ved at knytte Peab og JM til projektet. Den nye bydel planlægges med cirka 3.000 boliger samt skoler, servicefaciliteter og arbejdspladser. Hovedaktørerne skal bidrage med mindst omkring 1.000 boliger. Erik Pelling, formand for kommunalbestyrelsen, understregede, at modellen bringer stærke og langsigtede partnere ind tidligt i processen. Projektleder Sofie Leima fremhævede, at samarbejdet passer til projektets forudsætninger og understøtter både kvalitet og fremdrift. Udviklingen er koblet til en ny jernbanestation, der efter planen skal åbne i 2034. Aftalerne er en del af Fyrspårsavtalet mellem kommunen, regionen og staten med målsætning for 2035. Per Johansson fra JM og Stefan Allansson fra Peab udtrykte begge tilfredshed med at kunne bidrage med deres ekspertise på et tidligt stadie.
