Region Uppsala køber 20 sporvogne for tre milliarder kroner

Region Uppsala har underskrevet en aftale om køb af 20 sporvogne for tre milliarder kroner fra Skoda Transtech Oy, selvom en planlagt bro over Fyrisån stadig er under juridisk behandling.

Region Uppsala og AB Transitio har tildelt det finske selskab Skoda Transtech Oy kontrakten på levering af køretøjerne. Transitio ejer sporvognene og lejer dem ud til regionen. Kontraktens værdi er tre milliarder kroner. Hver sporvogn anslås at koste omkring 66,6 millioner kroner og har en teknisk levetid på mindst 30 år. Projektleder Erik Winge siger, at tingene nu sker for alvor. Trafikdirektør Karin Svingby oplyser, at der også er underskrevet aftaler om et depot og sporanlægget. En retssag vedrørende broen over Fyrisån verserer ved mark- og miljødomstolen (Land- och miljööverdomstolen). Trafikverket har rykket tidsfristen for sporvejen til 2032.
