Ny gang- og cykelsti mellem Uppsala og Björklinge er færdiggjort

En ny 16 kilometer lang gang- og cykelsti mellem Uppsala og Björklinge via Lövstalöt er nu færdig. Projektet gør rejsen sikrere og mere bæredygtig langs ruten.

Trafikverket påbegyndte arbejdet i juli 2025 med at omdanne strækninger af den tidligere E4-rute nord for Uppsala. Projektet er et samarbejde mellem Trafikverket, Region Uppsala og Uppsala kommune. Stien er adskilt fra biltrafikken med rækværk, og 30 busstoppesteder er blevet ombygget for at forbedre tilgængeligheden. De samlede omkostninger beløb sig til cirka 90 millioner svenske kroner. – Når vi bygger sikre gang- og cykelstier, forbinder vi vores byer og skaber bedre muligheder for bæredygtige daglige rejser, siger Rafael Waters, formand for gade- og miljøudvalget. Uppsala kommune planlægger at anlægge en forbindende gang- og cykelsti i Björklinge for at koble ruten sammen med det lokale vejnet.
