An 18-year-old man has been charged at Stockholm District Court with preparation for murder following a date that ended in rejection. Prosecutors claim the man planned to shoot the woman.
The man and the woman had chatted on Snapchat during the spring. They met at a restaurant in Stockholm but the date did not go well according to both. The woman swished half the bill and blocked him the day after.
According to a witness the man asked for help obtaining a pistol. The witness states the man said he would enter the woman's home at night and shoot her before committing suicide. The man had also moved around her residence and photographed the surroundings.
The man denies serious intent in the plans. He states in interviews that the comments were dark humor and that the question about weapons was only curiosity.
