Fell-Hengst Bracklinn Sonny Bill gewinnt die Windsor M&M-Meisterschaft 2026

Der fünfjährige Fell-Hengst Bracklinn Sonny Bill hat beim Royal Windsor Horse Show die Windsor M&M-Meisterschaft im Handpferde-Wettbewerb 2026 gewonnen. Das Pony, das zu Hause den Namen Guardian trägt, wurde von seinem Züchter Alistair Smith in der Castle Arena vorgestellt. Zuvor hatte er bereits die Fell-Meisterschaft für sich entschieden, bevor er sich den Gesamtsieg sicherte.

Bracklinn Sonny Bill gehört Leah Cassell, die das Pony erstmals als Fohlen bei einer Ausstellung der Fell Pony Society entdeckte. Cassell hat den Hengst zusammen mit der Reiterin Hollie Mcgauley und deren Mutter Lindsay durch seine erste Saison unter dem Sattel begleitet. „Sobald ich ihn sah, sagte ich: ‚Mama, Hollie – den möchte ich haben‘“, so Cassell. „Seitdem ist es einfach ein Traum.“

Ravenstone Fudge II secured the 2026 Royal Windsor mountain and moorland ridden championship. The 14-year-old New Forest gelding was ridden by Stephanie Turner to victory in the Castle Arena. The win also earned the pair a spot at the London International Heritage championship.

Eleven-year-old showjumper Anya Dewey Clarke claimed victory in the children on horses final at the British Showjumping Winter Championships held at Arena UK in Lincolnshire from 18-22 March. Riding the 12-year-old Dutch-bred gelding Jewelino, she edged out competitors in a close jump-off. The win follows her successful transition from dominating 128cm pony classes in 2025.

Carmen Gammie topped the prix St Georges silver class aboard Lets Make An Opera M at the NAF Five Star Winter Dressage Championships at Addington. Greg Dickens and Dannie Morgan also claimed victories in the medium bronze and elementary freestyle gold, respectively. Sadie Smith secured her second win of the event in the prestige novice gold.
