Familienteam gewinnt Spitzenpreise bei der Fell Pony Society Hengstschau

Bob Beaty und seine Enkelin Bronte Crosby konnten am 9. Mai bei der Hengst- und Fohlenschau der Fell Pony Society 2026 Erfolge feiern. Ihre Ponys Oscar II und Stennerskeugh Nicholas gewannen die obersten Auszeichnungen in den Hengst- und Wallach-Klassen. Die Veranstaltung fand im Dalemain House in der Nähe von Ullswater statt.

Bronte Crosby führte beide Siegerponys auf der Schau vor. Der vierjährige Oscar II, den die Familie als Zweijährigen gekauft hatte, wurde von Preisrichter Michael Goddard zum Supreme Champion ernannt. Der achtjährige, aus eigener Zucht stammende Stennerskeugh Nicholas sicherte sich am selben Tag die Wallach-Meisterschaft.

Ros Canter and Lordships Graffalo won the Mars Badminton Horse Trials for a record third time on 10 May after a clear showjumping round. The pair finished 8.2 penalties ahead of the field to make history at the event.

Five-year-old Fell stallion Bracklinn Sonny Bill captured the 2026 Windsor M&M in-hand championship at the Royal Windsor Horse Show. The pony, known at home as Guardian, was led by breeder Alistair Smith in the Castle Arena. He had earlier secured the Fell championship before advancing to the supreme title.

Isabella Walker and her pony Stoneleigh Showtime secured their fourth consecutive show pony championship at the Royal Windsor Horse Show. The pair lifted the Bernard Weatherill trophy in what was their final appearance together in the class.

Carmen Gammie topped the prix St Georges silver class aboard Lets Make An Opera M at the NAF Five Star Winter Dressage Championships at Addington. Greg Dickens and Dannie Morgan also claimed victories in the medium bronze and elementary freestyle gold, respectively. Sadie Smith secured her second win of the event in the prestige novice gold.

Ravenstone Fudge II secured the 2026 Royal Windsor mountain and moorland ridden championship. The 14-year-old New Forest gelding was ridden by Stephanie Turner to victory in the Castle Arena. The win also earned the pair a spot at the London International Heritage championship.

Britain’s Tom McEwen secured third place in the five-star dressage at the Defender Kentucky Three-Day Event with a score of 25.1. Elizabeth Barratt claimed third in the Cosequin Lexington CCI4*-S class scoring 29.7. Both riders praised their horses after tests on 24 April.
