A forest fire south of Kullbodarna in Älvdalens kommun was fully extinguished at 20.20 on Thursday. The fire covered an area of 200 to 300 meters and caused two power lines to break.
The fire was discovered on Thursday at several locations in the ground. Rescue services struggled to reach the site due to inaccessible terrain and used both a tracked vehicle and walking to get there.
By 19.16 rescue services had stopped the spread. Team leader Catrin Gyllander at SOS Alarm confirmed they had control of the fire's outer edges.
Two power lines had broken and poles had burned. At the same time more than 1 500 customers suffered a power outage. Ellevio stated lightning was the cause of the outage.
