Das Einspielergebnis zum Start entsprach nahezu dem der vorherigen Gundam-Veröffentlichung vom Februar 2025, die in 784 Kinos 882.000 US-Dollar einspielte und insgesamt 1,2 Millionen US-Dollar im Inland erreichte. Illumination, Nintendo and Universal's Super Mario Galaxy Movie is set for a $350 million worldwide debut over the Easter weekend. The animated feature is expected to gross $175 million in the US and Canada across five days at 4,000 theaters, with another $175 million from 79 international markets excluding Japan. This would mark the biggest opening of the year so far.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie earned $35 million in its third domestic weekend, bringing its total to $355.2 million and the franchise past $2 billion worldwide. Lee Cronin's The Mummy opened to $13 million domestically and $34 million globally. Project Hail Mary added $20.4 million in its fifth weekend for a $285 million domestic cume.

Illumination, Nintendo and Universal's The Super Mario Galaxy Movie earned $18.7 million on Friday, projecting a $71 million three-day weekend and a domestic total of $310.1 million by Sunday. The animated sequel, featuring voices from Chris Pratt, Jack Black, Charlie Day and Anya Taylor-Joy, held strong with a 46% drop from its opening. Other releases like Universal's You, Me & Tuscany opened to an estimated $8.3 million.

Hong Kong cinemas earned HK$25.93 million (US$3.31 million) over the first four days of Easter—from Good Friday to Monday—doubling the HK$12.75 million from the same period in 2025, despite a resident exodus. The Immigration Department reported 2.13 million outbound trips and 1.81 million inbound trips during that time, for a net outflow of 319,173. Hong Kong Box Office Limited attributed the surge to critically acclaimed films drawing families.
