High grass pollen warnings issued across much of Sweden

Warnings for high or very high levels of grass pollen are in effect across large parts of Sweden, according to Pollenrapporten.

The warning for high risk of elevated grass pollen levels applies to all of Götaland and Svealand as well as Norrland's coastal areas. In southern Sweden the levels may become very high, especially during dry weather.

In Norrland the levels have started to rise and elevated risk now applies in large parts of the inland areas. Farthest north and in the mountain regions the risk remains small.

Warm weather and the blooming of tall meadow grasses are behind the increase. The birch pollen season is over for the year. The current assessment is valid until Monday.
