Keymer übernimmt alleinige Führung beim Grenke Chess Freestyle Open

Großmeister Vincent Keymer aus Deutschland hat beim Grenke Chess Freestyle Open nach einem Sieg gegen Hans Niemann und einem Remis gegen Magnus Carlsen am Wochenende die alleinige Führung übernommen. Alexey Sarana, Maxime Vachier-Lagrave und Pranav Venkatesh liegen zwei Runden vor Schluss einen halben Punkt zurück. Die Runden acht und neun sind für Montag in Karlsruhe angesetzt.

Vincent Keymer nutzte in der sechsten Runde einen taktischen Fehler von Hans Niemann aus und sicherte sich den Sieg aus einer symmetrischen Ausgangsstellung. Keymer erklärte den Patzer und merkte an, dass Niemanns Damenplatzierung auf d3 ihn wahrscheinlich von dem Schachgebot durch den ungedeckten Springer abgelenkt habe. Mehrere Spitzenpartien endeten aufgrund der ausgeglichenen Brettaufstellung mit entgegengesetzten Läufern unentschieden, darunter Carlsen gegen Sarana sowie Nepomniachtchi gegen Vachier-Lagrave.
