Meta launches Seller app for Facebook Marketplace

Meta has released a new app called Seller that gives professional sellers dedicated tools for managing sales on Facebook Marketplace. The app integrates AI features for listings and provides inventory and performance tracking. It is now available to users aged 18 and older in the United States.

The Seller app syncs directly with existing Marketplace listings, messages and sales history. Users can create new listings in the app, which then appear on Marketplace. A home section flags tasks such as items to ship and messages to reply to.

Meta AI helps generate titles, descriptions, price suggestions and categories once photos are uploaded. Bulk listing tools allow sellers to post multiple items at once. A unified inbox organizes buyer messages by item.

Performance insights show views, clicks and sold items. The app is available on iOS and Android, with a web version in testing. Meta also launched a Verified program using AI facial recognition alongside the app.

Facebook Marketplace marks its tenth year and reaches over a billion monthly users, with 430 million items listed each month worldwide.
