Work on the detailed plan for a new Forshuvudbron in Borlänge continues according to schedule. Consultation is expected this autumn and the bridge is due to be completed in 2030.
The more than 120-year-old bridge was closed to car traffic in autumn 2023. A new bridge is planned just north of the old one.
– It is something that needs to be handled with humility, regardless of what the future holds, says Henrik Modigh at the community development administration.
The future of the old bridge remains uncertain.
