Catherine, Princess of Wales, shared a hug and heartfelt words with a patient ending her cancer treatment during a June 4 visit to The Christie in Manchester.

The 44-year-old royal met patients and families at the hospital on Thursday. She cheered 30-year-old Claire Lorente as she rang the bell to mark a recovery milestone. Catherine hugged Claire and told her, “Well done, well done you. What a journey... a tough one. Well done, you’ve been amazing.” She offered similar support to Claire’s husband Pablo. The princess spoke with several others about the emotional toll on families. Claire later described the moment as “overwhelming” but “brilliant.” Kensington Palace noted the trip highlighted holistic care during cancer treatment.
